Amanda Skinner-Welsh

Training and Project Support Lead

Amanda is the Training and Project Support Lead for Scottish Mentoring Network. Amanda leads on the implementation of our training and project support services, including supporting members working towards the Quality Award accreditation and those using our mentoring in practice service. Amanda also leads on delivering a programme of network events for members.

She studied at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, and has a Degree in Health Promotion as well as completing an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social care (Children and Young People).

Amanda has also recently completed a professional practice award In training and development (Understanding Continuing Professional Development, Group Work Skills, Design and Delivery of Training Programmes SCQF Level 8).  Amanda continues her training and is working towards an SCQF Level 8 in Assesor training. 

Before taking up her role at SMN she worked at the Rock Trust for almost nine years. There Amanda developed the mentoring programme for the Rock Trust, which involved creating a training programme for the mentors, as well as matching and line managing the mentors.  Amanda has also successfully completed the SMN Quality Award for the Rock Trust.
