Living with drug or alcohol problems isn’t easy - it’s really tough. At the Phoenix Futures Group, we know how tough it is, which is why we are here to help anyone affected by drug and alcohol problems, every step of the way. For more than 40 years we’ve worked with individuals, families, and communities to show that recovery from substance misuse is possible. Whether you are struggling with your own drug and alcohol problems, looking to support a loved one, or want to build better support relationships within the community, our dedicated and experienced teams will work with you to ensure you receive the support you need.
Our Volunteer Peer Mentors have experience (directly or indirectly) of recovery and are passionate about making a difference within their local community. They support people who are at the early stages of their recovery to integrate back into community by supporting them to access local recovery communities, mutual aid groups, social activities, training, education and anything else that will help them to sustain their recovery and build a full and meaningful life in the community.
Peer Mentors build positive relationships with the individuals they are working with, replacing often negative relationships which can be associated with addiction. These relationships encourage and empower mentees to make changes to their lives and realise their own potential.
Our Peer Mentoring Services in Glasgow and North Lanarkshire work hard to reduce social isolation within our client group and encourage all individuals that we support to reach their full potential.
