GrowBiz is a community-based enterprise support organisation covering rural Scotland. We provide support to anyone thinking of becoming self-employed, or starting (or growing) a small business or social enterprise. There is no age limit either upper or lower, and we work right across the community including people from all backgrounds, sectors and those with health issues or disabilities.  We provide a range of services including one to one meetings, peer support, specialist advice, mentoring and training. GrowBiz has provided an ongoing enterprise mentor support programme since 2014, matching mentors and mentees from within the GrowBiz Enterprise network. Our mentoring team develops the training materials, recruits and trains the mentors and provides ongoing tailored support to the mentoring partnerships. We deliver regular training for potential mentors and mentees and ongoing CPD for our volunteer mentor network. We have produced mentor and mentee information guides which accompany the training sessions, and can be used as an ongoing reference point for all involved in the mentoring programme. We design and deliver bespoke models for other organisations and provided wrap-around support to their mentoring programmes.
