Funding: Children, Young People and Families and Adult Learning and Empowering Communities Project Funds

The £2 million Children, Young People and Families and Adult Learning and Empowering Communities Project Fund (CYFEIF and ALEC Fund) are now open to applications. 

The Scottish Government has made project funding available to the third sector to support preventative work with children, young people and families.

The project fund covers two years from April 2017 to March 2019 and will focus on projects that:

  • Promote parenting and family skills
  • Contribute to reducing the educational attainment gap
  • Improve life chances for looked after children
  • Improve the safety of children and young people

Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland is working in partnership with the Scottish Government to administer and manage the Scottish Government’s CYPFEI and ALEC Funds.

The closing date for applications is 30 September 2016 with funding announcements expected at the start of 2017 for projects to begin in April 2017.

Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland will be running a series of information sessions on the fund. These will take place in Edinburgh (19 Aug), Aberdeen (25 Aug) and Glasgow (26 Aug).
