FUNDING: Bank of Scotland Foundation Launches New Funding Programme
16 September 2019
The Bank of Scotland Foundation have announced four new funding programmes for 2019 and 2020 to replace their previous Small, Medium and Large grant programmes. The new programmes come as part of their five year 'Supporting Positive Change Across Scotland' plan, through which they aim to focus on charities who are addressing social exclusion or disadvantage in Scotland.
The new funding programmes are:
- Reach – funding is intended to make positive and lasting change in communities across Scotland. Charities with an income of £1 million or less can apply for grants of between £1,000 and £20,000 over one year to support people through varying stages of their lives.
- Change – funding is intended to have a large-scale, long-term, positive impact on charities and communities. Charities with an income of £500,000 or more can apply for capital costs or project costs of £50,000 to £100,000 per annum over one to two years to ensure they can provide continued, reliable support for people across Scotland.
- Advise – funding is intended to improve Financial Advice and Financial Literacy for people across Scotland. Charities with an income of £1 million or less can apply for grants of between £1,000 and £20,000 over one year to enable people to develop their financial skills and access the support they need to take greater control of their lives.
- Invest – funding is intended to put charities in a more stable position. Charities with an income of £1 million or less can apply for core costs of between £20,000 and £40,000 per annum over two to five years to relieve the pressures they face of financial uncertainty and increased demand.
