MEMBER NEWS: Light Up Learning Recruiting New Chair

23 January 2020

WANTED: one Chair, to lead young & ambitious charity tackling inequity in education.

After taking Light Up Learning from an idea backed by enthusiasm, to a 9 person strong team working across Edinburgh and Midlothian, our co-founder Will is stepping down as Chair, for a well-earned break.

We're actually pretty excited to be opening this role up: we've grown a huge amount in the last year and we've confirmed some ambitious targets for the number of young people we want to reach and support, in the next. It's a perfect time for new ideas and energy to jump on board (pun intended): if you're an equally ambitious individual, with a commitment to young people and youth work, and the experience to guide our organisation - we want to hear from you.

With a commitment to diversity and challenging all forms of inequality, we are particularly keen to receive applications from those who identify as Women, Black Minority and Ethnic, LGBTQI, disabled, migrant, and/or other backgrounds currently underepresented in the third sector.

To apply, visit our blog [http://bit.ly/LULBlog] to download all the relevant information, and return your application to recruitment@lightuplearning.org by 23:59 on 31 January 2019. We look forward to meeting you!
