National Youth Worker of the Year 2017 Award Winners

The winners of the YouthLink Scotland National Youth Worker of the Year Awards 2017 have been announced with the top award going to Laura Campbell from Bellshill and Mossend YMCA. 28 March


Congratulations to the latest SMN Quality Award Approved Projects

Over the past few months, three SMN member projects have achieved the SMN Project Quality Award and we would like to congratulate these projects for the hard work and commitment they have shown to achieve this standard which demonstrates that projects are applying good practice to all aspects of their work. 27 March

The Scottish Charity Awards 2017

The Scottish Charity Awards 2017, operated by the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations, are now open for nominations.  The awards give recognition to the Scottish charities that have made the most significant impact over the previous year. 23 March


News: First Minister mentoring opportunity update

A deadline of 30 May has now been set for applications from young women aged 18 to 23 to be mentored by First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon.  23 March


Increased support for care leavers announced

The Scottish Government has announced a one million pound scheme to boost learning and development opportunities for care experienced young people. 21 March


Funding extension for Peer Mentoring Projects

The Life Changes Trust has announced that its six peer mentoring projects for care experienced young people will receive funding for one additional year.   20 March


Funding: £3 million for community justice

The Scottish Government has announced an award of almost three million pounds of funding for seven community sector organisations to deliver services aimed at reducing the cycle of reoffending.   14 March
