Get Write In: Creative writing competition for care experienced young people

CELCIS has teamed up with The Scottish Book Trust, Who Cares? Scotland, the School of Education at the University of Strathclyde and the Edinburgh International Book Festival for an exciting creative writing competition for care experienced school children in Scotland.   24 April

SMN: Scottish Parliament Invite

Scottish Mentoring Network’s Iain Forbes has been having discussions with the Scottish Parliament’s Outreach Services who are keen to hear from a cross section of organisations in Scotland. Iain told them about them about the fantastic work being done by SMN members in improving outcomes for a wide range of service users. 24 April

Member News: Charity set to help Scottish student's legal career dreams come true

Academically gifted students from less advantaged backgrounds can now apply for potentially life-changing funding to pursue their dreams of a legal career through 'The Lawscot Foundation', a charity founded by The Law Society of Scotland. 24 April

Congratulations to the latest SMN Quality Award Approved Project

In the past month another SMN member project has achieved our Project Quality Award and we would like to congratulate Y Sort It for the hard work and commitment it has shown to achieve this standard.  Achieving the SMN Project Quality Award demonstrates that projects are applying good practice to all aspects of their work. 24 April

Member News: MCR Pathways Young Glasgow Talent continues to grow

MCR Pathways has announced a further commitment to its Young Glasgow Talent (YGT) programme from the University of Strathclyde's Business School with a pledge for a target of twenty percent of its staff to train to become YGT mentors.   20 April

Member News: Girl Geek Scotland Role Models and Mentors Project Webinars

Girl Geek Scotland has begun recruiting volunteer role models and mentors in digital technology to work with school aged girls in Scotland and is running a series of webinars for anyone interested in becoming involved.  18 April
