SMN: Apply now for the 2017 Recognition Awards

We are now accepting applications for the 2017 SMN Recognition Awards. Our annual awards are designed to acknowledge mentoring projects that have made a significant impact over the past year and are open to members of SMN and GMN.   29 August

Member news: Quarriers recruiting volunteer mentors

Quarriers is searching for volunteer mentors for children across Falkirk, Stirling and Clackmannanshire. The social care charity is one of 13 charities from across Scotland selected to roll out intandem, a project funded by Scottish Government and delivered by Inspiring Scotland.  28 August

Member News: ACOSVO FREE Mentoring Programme

ACOSVO has recently recruited 3 experienced new mentors to its growing mentoring programme for leaders in the third sector.  The organisation continues to recruit additional volunteer mentors to further broaden the reach of the programme.   10 August

Move On is recruiting a full-time Development Worker to assist in its highly successful housing education services for vulnerable young people based in Edinburgh.   9 August

News: Meet the 'First Mentee'

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has announced Charlotte Liddell, of Buckhaven in Fife, as the winner of the 'First Mentor' competition at Fife Gingerbread in Leven, where the 20 year old 'First Mentee' volunteers.  Charlotte will be mentored by the First Minister for a period of one year. 8 August

Member News: Circle receive funding boost

Circle’s Inter-School Social Education Project (ISSEP) has received funding from the Morrisons Foundation to develop an outdoor area at its base in Pilton, Edinburgh.   7 August

Member News: intandem Argyll & Bute Recruiting Mentors

intandem's mentoring service, delivered by Children 1st, in Argyll and Bute is now recruiting volunteers to mentor young people aged 8-14 who are 'looked after' by their local authority but still living at home.  3 August
