Scottish Mentoring Network, in association with Training and Enterprise Development, is pleased to offer an opportunity to complete an SQA accredited unit in Mentoring Coordination. This two-day training course is designed for those involved in planning and coordinating mentoring programmes. The course will help participants to enhance their existing knowledge of mentoring and develop essential practical skills.

The 2 day course covers the following:

  • Key principles and processes of mentoring
  • Planning, coordinating and implementing mentoring programmes within organisations
  • Benefits, advantages and limitations of mentoring programmes
  • The mentoring relationship, roles, responsibilities and boundaries
  • Understanding the role, skills and qualities of the mentor
  • Practical sessions in conducting mentoring activities
  • Action planning, progress reviews and development of mentoring activities with learners

The course will run over two consecutive days on Tuesday 2nd December and Wednesday 3rd December at Brunswick House, Glasgow. The fee for one delegate place on this course is £350.00 which covers all training, materials, registration, assessment and certification. This course may be eligible for Skills Development Scotland 50% training and more information on this can be found here.

This course is one of units in the HNC: Learning and Development which sits at SCQF level 7 and has 8 SCQF credit points. More information can be found be downloading the document below. Delegates will be required to carry out some self study before the course begins but all materials and course details will be sent in plenty of time in advance of the course.
