Scottish Charity Awards Finalists Announced

The finalists for the Scottish Charity Awards 2015 were announced today, with three SMN member organisations amongst the 31 finalists. Apex Scotland and Scottish Prison Service are a finalist under the ‘Perfect Partnership’ award category for their Family Visits by Videolink project and Visibility is a finalist under the ‘Digital Dynamos’ award category for its Visibility Digital Participation Project. The winners will be decided by online voting via the SCVO website and the winning organisations and individuals will be presented with their awards in Edinburgh on Thursday 4 June 2015.

The five award categories are:

  • Charity of the Year: Presented to an organisation that has achieved in every area of its work.
  • Celebrating Communities: Presented to a community delivering a service or projects that is making a big difference to a group of people.
  • Perfect Partnership: Presented to an outstanding collaboration by two or more third sector organisations or between third sector organisations and public / private sector partners.
  • Cracking campaign: Presented to the best charity led campaign of the year.
  • Charity Champion: Presented to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding dedication to a charity of cause.
