Deadline Extended for the SMN Recognition Awards 2015

The SMN annual Recognition Awards are designed to give recognition to mentoring projects that have made a significant impact over the past year and are open to members of SMN and GMN.

We are now accepting applications for the 2015 awards, the winners of which, will be presented at the SMN National Event at St Paul’s and St George’s Church in Edinburgh on Wednesday 4th November 2015.

In previous years we have given awards ranging from Youth to Culture, Employment to Education and Social Care, Justice and Health. In the past we have also recognised new projects that we feel show promise for the future as well as recognising continued excellence in long running projects. After considering all applications received, the awards assessment panel will award the ‘Mentoring Project of the Year’ to the project they feel has made the most impact over the past year.

All projects that submit an application form will be given the opportunity to nominate one of its mentors to receive the ‘Mentor of the Year’ Award which will be presented to a mentor who has made a special difference and to nominate a member of staff who has made a significant impact or gone above and beyond for their project.

The closing date for receipt of award applications is now Friday 9th October 2015 and the award application form and further guidance can be downloaded from our website.

We have tried to keep the application form as simple as possible and a blank version of this can be downloaded by clicking the link below. If you have any questions about the application form or the awards process please call us on 0141 559 5009 or email info@scottishmentoringnetwork.co.uk.
