New Business Mentoring Scheme for Women is Launched

10 May 2011

Moray Business Women has recently launched its own mentoring scheme aimed at women who are setting up in business or are in the early stages of running their first business.

Established in 2007, Moray Business Women is a networking group for business and professional women working within the Morayshire area.

The free mentoring scheme has been set up by the group in response to the current economic climate as a way of sharing expertise with local, female entrepreneurs and giving these businesswomen someone to discuss the day to day challenges faced in setting up a new business.

Through the scheme, six mentors have been selected from within the group and will work one on one with women to guide them through the first twelve months of their business venture, offering support and advice along the way. The six mentors have over one hundred years collective business experience and will provide advice on everything from banking, finance and budgets, to dealing with staffing issues and methods of promoting the business.

Further information on the scheme is available on the group’s website.
