The team has been estabilished to suport pupils and college students to make the transition to GCU offering mentoring support from student mentor role models pre and at the point of entry as part of the university’s induction model.
Mentors work with pupils in S5/6 and college students applying to GCU helping to raise aspirations, increase knowledge and familiarity of GCU and help prepare students to make this transition.
SCETT is involved in mentoring by employing, supporting and training GCU current undergraduate students to work as mentors, helping staff facilitate activities to school pupils and college student pre and at the point of entry.
