Circle is a Scottish charity working at the heart of deprived communities across central Scotland. Our aim is to support the most disadvantaged and difficult-to-engage children and families to improve their lives and promote their healthy potential and development.

The overall aim of Circle’s ISSEP Project is to work with disadvantaged children experiencing difficulties at school, at home or in the community by linking them with high school student volunteers who support them with their learning and social skills.

Based in West Pilton in North Edinburgh, local primary aged children receive weekly one-to-one academic and emotional support from volunteers in their final year at George Heriot's secondary school. The main activities of our project are homework, reading, arts and crafts, baking and outdoor play.
