Cutting Edge Theatre

Cutting Edge Theatre is an award winning theatre company working primarily with disabled people aged 8+. Our mentorship scheme provides in-person, on-the-job training to develop the skills and experience required to support and work effectively with learning/disabled students across Scotland. This initiative strengthens inclusion and accessibility within the theatre arts and screen work. This scheme is currently offered in both Edinburgh and Fife.

Cutting Edge Theatre’s mentorship programme is designed as a stepping stone to give you workplace experience and all-important employment skills in the creative sector. These voluntary placements give you insight into a future career working with learning/disabled artists, supporting your confidence and professionalism in the workplace and creating a space where the participants are at the heart of your work.

These hands-on roles offer the opportunity to gain valuable experience in inclusive practice by supporting our existing programmes, workshops, and associated administrative tasks.
