Lincolnshire Action Trust

About

Lincolnshire Action Trust was established in 2000 and works with a variety of agencies within the criminal justice system to reduce re-offending by working with individuals to address some of the issues and challenges which have resulted in their sentence.

The charity offers a range of training opportunities and employment support to prepare people for their release. Additional key services are also offered to their families and dependants, both during their time in prison and following their release.

A mentor can help with multiple different things, such as:

  • Listening and providing support
  • Attending appointments alongside clients
  • Helping clients to schedule and arrange appointments
  • Provide external, unbiased, non-judgmental advice and guidance
  • Help clients to see things from a different perspective
  • Support clients to get back into employment, education or volunteering

The possibilities are endless, this isn't an exhaustive list meaning we can tailor mentoring specifically to the client.

Mentors will work with clients to identify key goals and targets which they will work on each week.

The time and day of meetings vary, so can fit around the mentor's schedule and commitments.
