My Academic Family

My Academic Family provides one-on-one mentoring for first-generation, care experienced, estranged, and displaced university students. This Mentorship Programme organises volunteer mentors who have already successfully completed a university degree in the UK. In addition to the Mentorship Programme, we manage resources useful for students and mentors on our website and share tips and information via our Social Media presence.

In addition to the Mentorship Programme, we provide support with university applications, provide informational resources useful for all students on our website and social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook), and deliver workshops for prospective and current students to increase the number of students from backgrounds less likely to engage with university who complete university degrees..
