SPS

SPS currently manages and runs 13 of the 15 prisons in Scotland the other two managed by private companies.

The organisation is an agency of the Scottish Government and delivers custodial as well as rehabilitation services to those who have been sentenced to prison as well as those who are being held awaiting trial.

The SPS College is the national training centre for the organisation which trains all new recruits to the service as well as designing and delivering a variety of programmes to staff of the SPS.
