Station House Media Unit

We are the only community media company operating in the NE of Scotland. We are a charity supporting people in the seven regeneration areas of Aberdeen in creative and digital media.

We have a substantial volunteer base and volunteers produce radio, broadcast on our own shmuFM radio, community magazines and podcasts.

Additionally, we are a registered SQA centre delivering IT and Creative and Digital Media Foundation Apprenticeships, Moving Image and Arts qualifications and run a film course in conjunction with the British Film Institute.

Further we deliver the following services: employability, music, digital inclusion, criminal justice based services working with offenders pre-release from HMP Grampian and then within the community, youth media sessions at weekends and community TV projects.
