Funding: Year of Young People National Lottery Fund

The Heritage Lottery Fund, Big Lottery Fund and Sport Scotland, along with Spirit of 2012 Trust have created a new fund to award grants for heritage, community and sports projects focusing on young people in Scotland.

The Year of Young People National Lottery Fund will offer grants of between £3,000 and £10,000 to projects that focus on young people's health and wellbeing.

This new fund will share £550,000 between projects that inspire young people to lead active lives, encourage positive mental health and involve young people in the development, design, management and evaluation of the project.

The fund is aimed at voluntary sector and community organisations as well as youth groups, youth associations, schools and other non-profit organisations.

The fund has two application deadlines, 30 April 2018 and 18 June 2018, and applicants will receive a funding decision within eight weeks of the closing date.
