CONFERENCE: Embedding Trauma-Informed Care in Service Delivery

12 December 2018

This event will examine how organisations can embed trauma-informed care and practice into services to ensure that staff have the necessary knowledge and skills to provide evidence-based and effective services.

The experience and impact of trauma is often hidden.

Those who have experienced trauma are often those in the most need of support but are also often the hardest to reach and the most unlikely to engage effectively with services.

Last year, NHS Education for Scotland were commissioned by the Scottish Government to develop the National Trauma Training Framework with the overarching goal of supporting the delivery of training for those who have contact with survivors of trauma. The Scottish Government will invest £1.35m into this initiative, supported by NHS Education for Scotland and other partners.
