MEMBER NEWS: New dates for Peer Mentor training with the Rock Trust - A FEW SPACES LEFT

3 July 2019

Do you know or work with individuals over the age of 16, who have faced life challenges such as experience of the Care System, or homelessness and have a skill to share? Could they use their experience in a positive way to support someone else?

The Rock Trust in West Lothian is looking to recruit more volunteer Mentors to work alongside young people to help and encourage them to get involved in positive activities and achieve goals they set themselves. After successfully completing training Peer Mentors can be matched with a young person and will commit to spending 2-3 hours a week with them for up to 12 months.

The Rock Trust will be running a new updated Peer Mentor training course over the following dates:

Saturday 20th July 10-4

Sunday 21st July 10-4

Date of 3rd session to be confirmed

Training is free, all attendees should attend all sessions, food and refreshments will be provided. Everyone will complete an application pack and attend an informal meeting with me so they can find out more about the role and we can learn a bit about them. Please get in touch with any questions or interest:
