MEMBER NEWS: Children 1st Dragons’ Glen charity challenge

5 July 2019

Senior leaders from Deloitte LLP and Morton Fraser LLP have combined forces to call on corporate teams to pitch their brightest business ideas to them, as part of the Children 1st Dragons’ Glen charity challenge.

Graeme Carmichael, senior manager, advisory, at Deloitte LLP and Austin Flynn, a partner in the corporate team at Morton Fraser LLP will join other top business leaders in mentoring teams of young entrepreneurs as they turn an investment of £500 into more than £5,000 worth of profit.

This is the first year that Mr Carmichael has put teams through the heat of Dragons’ Glen. After hearing team’s initial pitches, Graeme and his fellow Dragons will decide which team to support through the five month challenge which aims to raise as much money as possible to keep children in Scotland safe from trauma and abuse.

Mr Carmichael said: “This year myself and the other Scottish dragons are looking for inspiring fresh entrepreneurial ideas from corporate teams that can help to raise vital funds for Children 1st. This is the most exciting charity challenge I have ever seen.”

Morton Fraser’s Austin Flynn is back for his second year as a Dragon, having seen just how much impact the challenge can have on employees’ entrepreneurial skills.
