Scottish Mentoring Network Announces Appointment of New Chief Executive

The Scottish Mentoring Network is delighted to announce the appointment of Clair Smith as its new Chief Executive.
Clair brings a wealth of experience in the voluntary sector, with a strong track record of leadership, partnership working and delivering impact through mentoring and people-centred approaches. She has demonstrated significant expertise in organisational development, stakeholder engagement and supporting individuals and communities to realise their potential.
Throughout her career, Clair has shown a deep commitment to the values that underpin mentoring, with a clear focus on inclusion, collaboration and building strong, supportive relationships. Her experience spans strategic leadership, service development, and working alongside partners across the third and public sectors to deliver meaningful and lasting change.
Clair joins the Network at an important time, as it continues to strengthen its role as the national voice for mentoring in Scotland and supports its members to deliver high-quality mentoring practice. Her leadership will be instrumental in progressing the Network’s vision and ensuring mentoring continues to be recognised as a powerful tool for opportunity, connection and positive outcomes across communities.
