Scottish Mentoring Network National Event 2025: A Day of Connection, Learning and Celebration

Scottish Mentoring Network welcomed members from across the country to our National Event 2025 - a day dedicated to connection, shared learning and recognising the incredible impact of mentoring.

This year’s theme, #WeMakeTheDifference, celebrated the many ways mentoring changes lives. Delegates joined us for a full programme featuring the launch of our refreshed website, updates on SMN’s work over the past year, and opportunities to connect and collaborate with peers.

We were delighted to hear from an inspiring line-up of speakers, including keynote speaker Heather Zajac, who explored motivation, emotional awareness and the importance of recognising our own impact, and Sarah Morton from Matter of Focus, who guided delegates through practical ways to understand and evidence the difference mentoring makes.

Members also shared powerful stories from practice, with presentations from the Scottish Prison Service, Traditional Arts & Culture Scotland, and LOOK UK.

The day concluded with the presentation of our Quality Awards, celebrating organisations committed to safe, effective and high-quality mentoring.
