SMN NEWS: An Update of SMN's Activities this Month

This month, as the Covid-19 pandemic continues, the SMN team continue to work from home, playing our part in helping prevent the spread of this disease. We are all working hard to continue supporting our member projects as we have always done. Here is a low down of the things we are doing to help our members to continue, and to thrive in these new and strange circumstances.
The SMN team created a short resource to help members to navigate how they could move their mentoring projects to online model of working. We know that many of our projects will be keen to make this happen, however we also know that for some mentees working on their goals with their mentors may not be possible given the current situation. Our members might feel it is more appropriate for the mentoring matches to shift toward a befriending type of relationship at present. We are hoping to create an appendix to this resource with hints and tips from across the membership. To add a submission to this appendix, please email info@scottishmentoringnetwork.co.uk
SMN have also been keeping up to date with the support from across the voluntary sector for charities via the SCVO Coronavirus hub. This hub has a collection of the latest updates from funding available for oraganisations whose work may be affected by the outbreak, to supporting your volunteers and staff, leadership and running your services. This hub is an invaluable source of information and is being constantly updated as the situation develops.
We have also developed a consultation for our members, to help us develop the future of SMN's services. Our members are vital in the development of what we do
