	FUNDING: VOLUNTEERING MATTERS ACTION EARTH  - 2019 GRANTS now available Any group of volunteers can now apply for Volunteering Matters Action Earth 2019 grants of between £50 - £250 to run environmental activities in Scotland’s green spaces. 24 April

	Consultation Event: Children's Services Planning - Provision of Statutory Guidance The Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014, placed a requirement on Local Authorities and Health Boards to present evidence to the Scottish Government in a Children Services Plan which sets out and demonstrates the actions planned, taken and delivered to improve outcomes for our children and young people in their area. The first statutory Children Service's Plans were submitted to the Scottish Government in March 2017. 17 April
	FREE TRAINING: Fast Forward provides practitioners with free gambling education training As you may already know, in 2018 Fast Forward launched the Gambling Education Hub, which is Scotland’s only national gambling education and prevention programme. It provides practitioners with free training, resources and support regarding gambling-related harm, and it works to ensure that every young person in Scotland has access to effective gambling education and prevention services. 17 April
	ScreenSkills launches UK-wide industry mentoring network UK industry skills body ScreenSkills has launched a UK-wide mentoring drive to support new and established professionals in the screen industries. 17 April
	NEWS: ng homes celebrates Investors in Young People Gold Award ng homes has been awarded Investors in Young People (IIYP) Gold status. Investors in People Scotland (now Remarkable) assessed the Association against the wider Advanced Framework over two days during March. 17 April
	NEWS: Scottish Churches Housing Action Appoints New Chief Executive Scottish Churches Housing Action (SCHA) has today announced the appointment of Richard Howat as its new chief executive. Mr Howat will take up the role on May 20, replacing David Cressey who resigned in December.   17 April
