This study, published in the Journal of Youth and Adolescence Vol.33 No.4, aimed to distinguish a range of mentor relationship styles and evaluate their influence on adolescent outcomes. It found that youth who characterised their mentor relationships as providing moderate levels of both activity and structure and conditional support derived the largest benefits.
