'Finding Their Feet - Equipping care leavers to find their potential' focuses on giving the most vulnerable children in society a second chance. The report highlights the main issues and barriers encountered by young people leaving care with a section devoted to the number of care leavers not in education, employment or training. Amongst the various recommendations for improving statistics for care leavers the importance of early intervention and intensive mentoring is underlined as key to increasing the number of care leavers in education, employment and training.
