Volunteer mentors work with a range of people from different backgrounds. Sometimes, they will meet a mentee in their home, in a public place or at a venue chosen by the project. Whatever the arrangements, managing the personal safety of volunteers and the people they work with is a key issue for the organisations that provide these services. On the back of a series of focus groups, this guide offers some tips on how to run a safe mentoring project.
