Aims and Objectives

We are the membership body for mentoring projects in Scotland, and exist to support the growth, quality and recognition of mentoring practices

Current Activity

We are currently delivering a range of services to mentoring co-ordinators and mentors. These include: membership support, training, our Quality Standard, events and influencing with key stakeholders. As a membership organisation, our key focus is on supporting the work of our members in any way we can.

Strategy

Our strategic aims for 2020-23 are to: • increase the quality, reach and profile of mentoring across Scotland • demonstrate and communicate the impact of mentoring across Scotland and beyond • exert leadership on policy and practice at both national and local levels

Our History

Scottish Mentoring Network has been in existence since 1997 originally as an informal grouping of individuals and organisations interested in mentoring.
